Wexford Celebrant & Solemniser for Weddings, Families & Life Events
From intimate weddings to family milestones, I create bespoke ceremonies across Wexford and beyond, grounded in meaning, filled with heart.

Hello, I’m Rosemary Hartigan - a registered Solemniser and Celebrant based in Rosslare Strand, Wexford, where I’m usually found walking my dog Dolly or playing padel with friends. I love living beside the sea and couldn’t imagine a better base for doing the work I do.
I create bespoke, meaningful ceremonies for couples and families who want to honour life’s biggest milestones in a way that feels completely their own - from intimate elopements on a Wexford beach to big celebrations at Johnstown Castle or Newbay House, and from there to wherever the story takes us. I’ve performed ceremonies across Ireland, the UK, Italy, Rhodes, and Florida, and I’m always happy to travel.
With a BA in Culture & Heritage Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public History & Cultural Heritage, and a Diploma in Public Relations and Event Management, I bring genuine writing and storytelling skills - not just warmth - to every ceremony I craft. I’ve been doing this since 2018; I’m a member of Entheos Ireland, fully insured, and on the General Register Office Register of Solemnisers, which means your ceremony will be both deeply personal and completely legal.

I was a Finalist in the Celebrant of the Year category at the Irish Wedding Awards in both 2020 and 2026, and was recognised for excellence in 2026. I have also received over 100 five-star reviews from couples and families across Ireland.
What matters to me is that your ceremony reflects you - your history, your humour, your hopes. I’ll work with you to create something grounded, joyful, and entirely yours. Couples often tell me afterwards that what they noticed most on the day was how calm and relaxed the whole experience felt. That’s not an accident. It’s something I work hard to bring to every ceremony, from our first conversation right through to the moment you walk away.

Let’s make something beautiful together.

Where I Work
My Home Ground
My home ground is Wexford and the South East; the beaches of Curracloe, the grandeur of Johnstown Castle, the elegance of Newbay House, and everywhere in between. This is where I do my best work, and where I’m happiest doing it.
Further Afield
That said, I regularly travel within about a two-hour radius, taking in Waterford, Kilkenny, Laois, Tipperary, Carlow, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath and Dublin and I’m always open to a conversation if you’re further afield. If the logistics work for both of us, we’ll make it happen.
Why choose me?
Inclusivity is at the heart of everything I do. I believe your ceremony should reflect who you are - not who your Celebrant thinks you should be.
All Love Is Welcome
Whether you come from different faith backgrounds, different cultures, or no faith tradition at all, I’ll work with you to weave your beliefs, your story, and your traditions into something that feels genuinely yours.
Mixed faith, inter-racial, culturally diverse, same-sex, non-religious - all love is welcome here, and all of it deserves to be celebrated properly.

You’re in Control
You choose the music, the readings, the rituals, and the words. Sacred, secular, or somewhere beautifully in between - that’s entirely your call.
I’m here to help you shape it, not to shape it for you.
I’m here to help you shape it, not to shape it for you.
Anywhere, Any Time
You also have complete flexibility over when and where your ceremony takes place. Outside office hours, on a beach at sunset, in a marquee in your parents’ garden, at a country house or a city rooftop - if it works for you, it works for me.
Legally binding ceremonies must take place in a venue that is generally open to the public, and I’m always happy to help you navigate that if you’re considering something a little different.

Experience & Calm
What I bring to all of this is experience, calm, and a genuine love of what I do. I’ve been crafting and delivering ceremonies since 2018.
I know how to hold a room, how to pace a ceremony so it breathes, and how to make sure that when the moment comes, everyone in that space feels it.
That’s what I’m here for.
